A região de Trás-os-Montes é uma das regiões mais autênticas e únicas de Portugal, conhecida pelos seus tesouros culturais, gastronómicos e naturais. Aqui estão alguns dos principais tesouros da região:

Historical and cultural heritage: Trás-os-Montes has a rich historical and cultural heritage, with several historic cities and towns, such as Bragança, Chaves, and Miranda do Douro. Several megalithic monuments, such as the menhir of Outeiro and the dolmen of Lamas de Mouro, also date back to prehistoric times.

Natural landscapes: The region is known for its stunning natural landscapes, including the Montesinho Natural Park, the Alvão and Marão mountains, and the Douro river. It is an ideal region for walking, cycling, bird watching, and other outdoor activities.

Wines and gastronomy: The region of Trás-os-Montes is known for its rustic and authentic gastronomy, with dishes such as posta à mirandesa (grilled steak with french fries), folar transmontano (a type of bread with meat and chorizo) and alheira (a typical sausage). The region also produces quality wines, such as the reds from the Chaves region.

Traditional festivities: Trás-os-Montes has several traditional festivities throughout the year, including the Festa dos Caretos de Podence (a Carnival party with masked characters), the Feira das Cebolas de Trás-os-Montes (a gastronomic festival that celebrates onion culture) and the Feira do Fumeiro de Vinhais (a fair celebrating the region’s smoked meat products).
